Harmony Road 6

The backbone of the Mighty Avalanche Choir, Dale and Marilyn Barcellos performed at The Ugly Mug recently. We have been friends ever since we camped next to each other at Strawberry. They wore headphones while they played their instruments and sang. The headphones were like monitors and helped produce vocal dynamics that were sensational. Iíve always liked Dale and Marilynís harmonies but last Wednesday night I was so proud to call them friends and I wanted the sweet music to never end.

I went to the Santa Cruz Art and History Museum for the First Friday event which features wines from the local wineries and excellent music concerts. Dorian Michael played a variety of guitars very well. He played many different styles of music and then he had Sherry Austin and Sharon Allen join him on stage. They were so entertaining. They sang some Kate Wolf songs in beautiful harmonies. Contact Allan Molho at the museum if you are interested in performing for the monthly events.

Itís a real bummer for me, but I am unable to attend the CampOut this year. So, I will be practicing my guitar and dulcimer and fiddle and thinking of you all in Turlock. I can hear, Cliff, Val, Jeanie, Nancy, Henry, Larry Kuhn, and Rick singing Milk Cow Blues and the sound of banjos and the thump of a dawg house bass, and laughter and friends singing in the night!

Congratulations and Happy 51st Anniversary to Ken & Grace Reynolds. Real Bluegrass Sweethearts.
Both of you are inspirational in how share your love and faith and many talents and your love of Bluegrass Music. I'm privileged to know you and call you friends!

Life is good on Harmony Road!
