Jingle Bells and Festivals

(In the key of B-flat-diminished-major-7th, capo 10)

Dashing through the trees
With a banjo in my hand
Through the cool night breeze
Yonder towards a jam!

Hot mandos and jug bands
Guitarists by the tents
Dobros by the hot dog stand
The music never ends!

Jingle bells, Festivals, Bluegrass all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to sing and dance and jam and play!
Jingle bells, Festivals, Bluegrass all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to sing and dance and jam and play!

A day or two ago
They started to arrive
Heads full of Bill Monore
Rubbing bleary eyes

Now the campground's crammed
Bluegrass from end to end
Get that guitar off the stand
More jamming starts at ten!

Chorus

With morning sun in sight
Fancy what I see
A jam from late last night
“Wheel Hoss” fast in G

Play a smokin’ break
With bassists gettin' down
Jam until it’s time to wake
Let's Bluegrass up this town!

Chorus

After Sunday gospel show
It's time to start to pack
Although it’s time to go
You know we’ll soon be back

Time to hit the road
Play one more "Cripple Creek"
Keep that fiddle bowed
'Til the festival next week!

Jingle bells, Festivals, Bluegrass all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to sing and dance and jam and play!
Jingle bells, Festivals, Bluegrass all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to sing and dance and jam and play!
