Campouts  are a mainstay of the CBA. Two times each year, Spring and Fall, members come together for a three day weekend to jamming and just plain fun. Locations for the event vary each year but there's always great camp sites and RV hook-ups. Whether you're a picker or a grinner...an old timer or new to bluegrass and old time, camp outs are just flat out fun.

Concerts  take place year round throughout the several CBA service regions. Area vice presidents are constantly on the look out for big name bands headed our way and most often are able to book them into local venues. Typically small (one hundred to three hundred attendees) the concert gives fans a chance to see their favorite bluegrass band up close and personal. Watch for the next CBA concert in your area; shows are frequently advertised on our Online Tickets page.

The Golden Old Time Camp Out  Old-Time Campout update Lake Sonoma, August 23-26 By Steve Goldfield Folks are buying tickets online for the campout, and many others have told me that they plan to come. I think we will have a fine time at this new site playing tunes and building our sense of community. I hope to see lots of old-time musicians and lovers of the music there. Bring your family and enjoy lovely Lake Sonoma’s swimming areas and surrounding wineries. Ice will be available at the Lake Sonoma marina, and the organizing committee is working on having at least one food vendor. Otherwise, bring food or drive to nearby Cloverdale or Healdsburg. The site does not have many trees so we urge those who have canopies and other shade structures to bring them. Bring sunscreen; weather in Sonoma County in August should be sunny and warm. We will need some volunteers to work at the gate and on a few other tasks. Comp tickets will be available for those who put in enough hours. Contact me (my information is on the second page of the Breakdown) if you are interested. Also contact me if you have any ideas or suggestions to make the campout as much fun as it can be. We will aim to announce a workshop schedule in the August Breakdown.
