The Father's Day Festival is the largest, and we think the best, bluegrass festival on the West Coast. Held on the Father's Day weekend each June in California's beautiful Mother Lode country, the four day festival brings to our members the best bluegrass acts in the nation.

The Sonoma County Bluegrass Festival brings together top notch acts from around California for an entire day in the Sonoma area. Though only a single day, bluegrass music is jam packed into the event. Whether you're a local of the Sonoma area or just want to take a drive to this beautiful region, the Sonoma County Bluegrass Festival is a must for bluegrass lovers.

The CBA Winter Music Camp is a new undertaking for the Association. Set at beautiful Walker Creek Ranch in the hills above Petaluma, Winter Camp is happening in February this first year. Like our summertime time camp, we’ve assembled an incredible line up of instructors offering a broad array of styles across all bluegrass instruments.

The CBA Music Camp takes place on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the Father's Day Festival. Held at the festival site in Grass Valley, the camp features some of the best bluegrass performers and teachers in the United States. The camp's focus is on improving the jamming skills of intermediate players. Register early!

Campouts are a mainstay of the CBA. Three times each year, Spring, Mid-Summer and Fall, members come together for a three day weekend to jamming and just plain fun. Locations for the event vary each year but there's always great camp sites and RV hook-ups. Whether you're a picker or a listener you'll love our annual campouts.

Concerts take place year round throughout the several CBA service regions. Area vice presidents are constantly on the look out for big name bands headed our way and most often are able to book them into local venues. Typically small (one hundred to three hundred attendees) the concert gives fans a chance to see their favorite bluegrass band up close and personal. Watch for the next CBA concert in your area; shows are frequently advertised on our Online Tickets page, http://www.cbaontheweb.org/tickets/eventList.aspx.

The Golden Old Time Camp Out is a brand new underdatking initiated this year by the CBA. The event will feature three days of camping, workshops, jamming and a Saturday night square dance ALL DEDICATED SOLEY TO OLD TIME MUSIC.

The Hobbs Grove Festival takes place in Sanger (just southeast of Fresno) each September. It’s a great regional event, in a beautiful Central Valley setting, and gives bluegrass fans the chance to see a broad array of area, regional and California talent.

The GREAT 48 takes place in early January each year. This hotel-based long weekend jam brings together folks from throughout California to put a little thaw in the winter and give pickers a way to connect before the spring. And what better town to hold the 48 than ‘Nashville West’—Bakersfield.
