Hooked on Bluegrass

Bob Thomas

My brother, bless him, introduced me to bluegrass with a tape of Hot Rize. I asked him for more. He sent more tapes, Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Bluegrass Cardinals, Carl Stroy, Chuck Wagon Gang. I loved them all. He said I needed to learn the original stuff in order to appreciate Seldom Scene and Hot Rize. Then he said I should get a guitar ard relearn the chords I had taught him many years earlier. So I did.

In the 80's I listened and learned. In the 90's I started producing shows and in 2000 my first festival. Mostly I learned that so many of those who love the music, give something back, and I'm happy to do so.
