Hooked on Bluegrass

Herb Pedersen

I remember the first time I heard bluegrass music ... it was the Mercury recordings of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys. I just bought the album entitled "Country Music" back around 1960. To paraphrase Keith Richards, at that point in my life, the world was black and white ... and Lester and Earl made it technicolor. I'm not kidding either. It was an adventure from that moment on.
