I was at the Strawberry Music Festival when I heard Bluegrass for the first time. It was the Spring ’92 festival and it was the first music festival I had ever attended. I heard Bluegrass on the Strawberry main stage, and then I heard the Grateful Dudes jamming on bluegrass tunes in camp. I was hooked.

Two years later I started playing the bass. Four years later I was performing on the Strawberry main stage… wow! I would not have thought it possible, but when you fall in love, things move quickly!
