Janice Young

I was born into a musical family. My parents played and sang country & gospel music. I grew up listening to Hank Williams , Patsy Cline and George Jones as well as the classic rock that my older brothers were listening to.

I became interested in bluegrass music about 15 years ago when I went to the Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival in Grass Valley, CA. It was a great experience with my parents and my Uncle Duke and Aunt Ruth (DuCommun) and my cousins Diana, Susie and Eddie. I really enjoyed the music on stage as well as the late night pickin’ parties. I’ve been singing vintage country and bluegrass ever since.
