Hooked on Bluegrass

Debra Ferguson

It is a miracle I ever became interested in bluegrass music after having to listen to my brother practice his banjo and guitar all afternoon and evening during our high school years.

After I moved out and got away from it for awhile, I went to a few festivals and began to love the music. My brother, Dave Dalton, taught our sister, Carol, how to play guitar and me to play bass. The three of us began to play together, then we met Rich Ferguson at church and that was the beginning of the Gospel Creek Bluegrass Band. I still love bluegrass and enjoy jamming whenever possible.
